  • World Development Indicators provides 800 indicators for 152 countries and county groups. The data is divided into six sections: world view, people, environment, economy, states and markets, and global links (i.e. globalization). [HC59.15 .W656]
  • World Economic Outlook.  International Monetary Fund. Presents the IMF staff’s analysis and projections of economic developments at the global level, in major country groups (classified by region, stage of development, etc.), and in many individual countries. It focuses on major economic policy issues as well as on the analysis of economic developments and prospects. [HC 59.W6 Ref]

  • International Financial Statistics Yearbook. Standard source for statistics on all aspects of international and domestic finance. It contains basic financial and economic statistics and IMF accounts data for 161 member countries, with aggregates by world region and economic grouping. Data is listed by country.   • Statistical Yearbook (UN). Detailed economic data for 270 countries/territories by country, world region and economic grouping. Time periods covered vary, but usually 1980 on, with some earlier trends. Monetary values are expressed in local currency or US dollars. Data are shown on an internationally comparable basis, but not all data are shown for each country. Part Three, Economic Activity, has sections on national accounts and financial statistics. National accounts tables present statistics by country for the last nine years on GDP, GDP per capita and GDP by activity. [HA12.5 .U63, Reference earlier in stacks.]
  • One Hundred Years of Economic Statistics. Covers the U.K., U.S., Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Sweden, from around 1885 to 1987. [ HC106.L68 1989 Reference]
  • Handbook of International Economic Statistics. 1998. Published by the U.S CIA Directorate of Intelligence this resource has many economic tables comparing countries. Includes information on economic trends, production, energy, agriculture, foreign trade and aid. Coverage dates: 1970 to 1997. Information from the tables is available in Excel format at the web site. Good for historical information, a more current edition is not available as of June 2003).
