About the Ceremony

The Fall Commencement activities will be held in Spragins Hall December 12 and December 13, 2008.

December 12

• Ceremony will begin at 7:00 pm.  All graduating students are requested to participate.  Students should arrive no later than 6:00 pm in full academic regalia and report to their designated assembly area. 
• Special Commencement Speaker: TBA
• The presentation of honorary and PhD degrees.  (The conferring of undergraduate and masters degrees will take place on the 13th.)

December 13

• 1st Ceremony – 10:00 am, College of Liberal Arts and College of Business Administration.
• 2nd Ceremony – 2:00 pm, College of Engineering, College of Nursing, and College of Science.
• 3rd Ceremony – 6:00 pm, If needed to accommodate for the number of students.

Students will need to arrive at Spragins Hall one hour prior to their College’s designated ceremony.  Guests, family members and spouses are not permitted in the assembly or robing areas and should go directly to the basketball arena.
Tickets Required for Admission to Commencement

• Tickets will be required for all family and guests attending the ceremonies on both December 12 and 13, 2008.
• Students participating in the fall commencement ceremony must notify the Registrar’s Office by October 17, 2008, in order to receive tickets for their guests.
• The number of tickets available per student will be determined in early November.
• Students may pick up tickets December 1-8 at the UC Information Desk during normal building hours

Extra tickets may be available to eligible candidates on a first-come, first-served basis, on December 12.  If available, they will be distributed through the UC Information Desk during normal building hours.
