To find periodicals in this library related to a particular language, use iLink, the online catalog for your search. In the <Subject> box type periodicals and the language: periodicals Spanish and then select SEARCH. Your results will be a list of periodical titles related to the language noted in the search. Some of the periodicals will be electronic titles and some will be print titles. Online Indexes and Databases
A bibliography listing books and articles in journals or books in the modern languages and literatures. Many of the articles are online full-text.
Handbook of Latin American Studies
An annual bibliography on social sciences and humanities edited by the Hispanic division of Library of Congress. Annotated entries of books, book chapters, journal articles and conference papers published worldwide in both English and Spanish.
A collection of Hispanic magazines with full text. Covers business, health, technology, culture, current topics and other subjects.
Ethnic News Watch
A full-text index to newspapers, magazines and journals of the ethnic, minority and Native American press. Some material is in Spanish.
Scribner's Writers Series
Includes nearly 1600 full-text articles on writers and literary genres.
Twayne's Author Series
Includes literary criticism by scholars on nearly 600 authors.
Academic Search Premier
Multi-disciplinary full text database with full text for nearly 4,700 publications and indexing and abstracts for over 8000 journals in the collection.
Archival access to many journals in the arts and sciences some back to volume 1.
Web of Science (includes Arts & Humanities Citation Index)
This database from Thomson Scientific is the online version of Science Citation Index, Social Science Index, and Arts & Humanities Citation Index. It is an invaluable tool for citation searching (following research through the years) and determining who is citing your work. Provides seamless access to current and retrospective multi disciplinary information from approximately 8,700 of the most prestigious, high impact research, peer-reviewed journals in the world. Current access goes back to 2003.
With Super Search the user can search multiple databases with one search. An example of a multiple search is Google, but unlike Google, searching with Super Search results in only academic results. Select the "Humanities" Main Folder to search all databases in that folder; or select the databases of your choice.
