CNS Wireless Support
The UAH Campus wireless network is available for use by current UAH faculty, staff, and students currently enrolled in classes. A majority of the buildings on campus have one or more wireless access points installed. The UAH online map site lists information about where wireless is available. With the exception of SECH, wireless is not available in residential housing.
The wireless network is compatible with Microsoft Windows XP Home, Windows XP Pro, Windows Vista, and Macintosh OSX. It will also work with several Linux distributions, although CNS does not provide support for Linux at this time.
In order to login to the wireless network you need an LDAP user ID and password. This is the same as your WebCT or Blackboard user ID and password. The user ID is the first part of your UAH email address - up to the @ sign. The default password is your first and last inital followed by the last four digits of your social security number. If you have changed the password or the default does not work stop by the CNS Helpdesk with a picture ID to have it reset.
