WebCT Navigation
General Layout of a WebCT Window
As you look at a WebCT course page, you should notice that the window is divided into different sections, or frames. Each frame contains different links and/or information.
Menu Bar
The menu bar at the top of every WebCT course page contains a number of useful links. The most commonly used links are myWebCT, Course Map, Log Out, and Help.
| myWebCT |
Use this link to return to the myWebCT page. This does not log you out of WebCT. |
| Course Map |
Provides an organized, outline view of the course. Use this feature to quickly find course pages or tools or just to see an overview of the course layout. |
| Log Out |
Click this link to end your WebCT session. After clicking the link, your web browser will automatically return to the UAH WebCT homepage. |
| Help |
The Help tool in WebCT provides students with additional information about the page or tool that they are currently viewing.
For example, while viewing a quiz page, clicking the Help link will open a window with information about WebCT Quizzes. |
Course Menu
The Course Menu provides quick access to the most common pages and tools available in your WebCT course. Just click a link in the Course Menu to go to that page or tool. To temporarily hide the course menu, just click the green triangle to the left of the Course Menu label. Click the green triangle again to display the Course Menu.
Content Frame
The content frame is where you view many of the course pages and documents in WebCT. Information on how to print pages in the content frame are provided later in this handbook.
